Knowledge economy (G20 Economic governance)
Indonesia and the UK are working as partners within the G20 in tackling the global economic and financial crisis. It is more important than ever to deal with the structural challenges in our domestic markets, including issues around corruption and economic governance; and to take forward together far reaching reforms of our international financial institutions. At the same time we are committed to supporting British companies in tapping the potential for profitable trade and investment relations with Indonesia. UKTI has identified oil and gas, agribusiness and infrastructure as target sectors. The UK's strength in the services and creative industries provide further important opportunities; and the British Council is working to increase awareness of the UK offering as one of the creative hubs of the new global economy.
