Climate change
Indonesia produces 6% of global green house gas (GHG) emissions from deforestation alone. This was the startling conclusion from the 2006 Stern Review. Our campaign, which brings together the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for International Development and the British Council, aims to support policy makers in managing Indonesia's transition to a low-carbon, high growth economy; to focus public attention on the economic, social and environmental impact of climate change; and to encourage a wider debate among Indonesian consumers on the use of non-renewable resources and sustainable global stewardship.
