The British Embassy Jakarta is currently seeking to fill the following vacancy

Public Communications/Campaign Officer

The British Embassy is looking for a qualified candidate with those skills mentioned above to fill the position of Public Communication/Campaign Officer at the Media and Communications Section.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing relationships with external partners proactively and assist in the implementation of embassy campaign for specific objectives/events.
  • Organising public diplomacy events e.g. seminars, workshops, embassy public outreach activities, etc.
  • Coordinating small scale bids for project activities in line with embassy public diplomacy strands.
  • Producing and managing publication materials e.g. brochures, gifts, banners.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor degree in Public Relations, Public Administration, Mass Communications, and/or other relevant educational backgrounds.
  • Sound experience (min. 3 years) in marketing, media and public campaign field, public relations or government relations field including networks of contacts.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with Government representatives, public and private sectors particularly faith-based organisations, NGO and media.
  • Excellent command of English, written and spoken (min ALTE 4 / CEF-C1 / IELTS 7.0).
  • Effective liaison, co-ordination, networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and posses basic skills in accounting and administrative capabilities.
  • Initiative, flexibility and adaptability, and an ability to work with minimum supervision.
