British Ambassador launches 4 Degree campaign. (23/10/2009)
Ambassador Martin Hatfull unveils a map illustrating the impact of a global rise in temperatures of four degrees at a a press conference held at the British Embassy on Friday, 23 October. The Ambassador has presented two framed versions of the map to the Office of President Yudhoyono and the Office of the Minister of the Environment. In his press conference the Ambassador described the severe impact on Indonesia of four degrees warming, as shown on the map. He also welcomed the leadership on the issues of global warming and climate change issue shown by President Yudhoyono. He confirmed that the UK Government stood ready to continue working with the new administration to achieve an ambitious and fair deal in Copenhagen.
